In the darkness, I lie and wait.
When suddenly a streak of light comes trough
All around me, angels calling.
Their touch feels like nails on my skin
For far too long, I have been abused.
Left alone, broken and dismayed
My mind is fixed now, on what lies beyond.
And when the time comes, I will set my spirit free
For my mind is cold, and my body old.
Tell me; what is left for me to gain?
Throughout my life I tried to be benevolent,
but back I was only given pain

It spreads across the hotel,
for it was built upon one
of the seven gateways to hell.
The seven dreaded gateways.
Doors of death and atrocity.
Consealed in cursed places.
On the day the gates are opened
the dead will rise and walk the earth.
The blind will clearly see this omen,
but none escapes this wretched curse.
In terror you shall now bear witness
to hell let loose upon the world.
And you'll face the sea of darkness
and all there in that may be explored.

Burning Darkness Stockholm, Sweden
Formed in 1999, Burning Darkness has a long history as a demo- and live band in the underground black metal scene of Stockholm. It took a long time for the debut album "The Angel of Light" to be finished, but it's finally out now!

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!!
